Portfolio Manager
Portfolio Managers (PMs) are responsible for overlooking a specific asset class within the Maritime Fund, the $120mm DALIS paper fund. Portfolio Managers will be assigned a percentage of the fund to invest and are responsible for exeucting each trade, and being able to backup their thesis on each. PMs will also be responsible to contribute to the Schooner, the monthly DALIS newsletter.
PMs will host weekly group meetings with their members to go over trade ideas and strategies. Additionally, PMs are expected to provide learning portions in each meeting to ensure all DALIS members are able to keep up to speed and leave meetings having learned something new.
Junior & Senior Analyst
As a Junior or Senior Analyst with DALIS, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience by executing trades on the Maritime Fund's book, applying hedge fund focused trading strategies within your portfolio group. You'll have direct access to employment opportunities through DALIS' extensive network of alumni and industry professionals, helping you build connections and set yourself up for career success. Your role will provide you with a formal, highly regarded position to enhance your resume, while also allowing you to deepen your understanding of investment thesis development, derivative trading strategies, and financial modeling. Junior Analysts benefit from direct mentorship from Senior Analysts and Portfolio Managers, while Senior Analysts gain leadership experience through mentoring. Both roles offer a pathway to higher positions within DALIS, such as Portfolio Manager or an Executive level position, and will give you the chance to enhance your Bloomberg Lab skills and visibility within the society, positioning you for long-term growth in the investment world.
